VOTE YES on 1:
Protect Reproductive Rights and Abortion Access

Maryland voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballot on the Reproductive Freedom referendum on Tuesday, November 5. A YES vote on Question 1 will amend Maryland’s constitution to ensure that everyone has the fundamental right to reproductive freedom, including the right to abortion access and birth control.

why now

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, reproductive rights have been under assault. Last year, hundreds of bad laws were pushed nationwide to restrict reproductive health services or abortion. And next door, the state of West Virginia enacted a near total abortion ban.

Maryland currently lacks constitutional protections that guarantee everyone's right to reproductive freedom and abortion access. With reproductive rights under attack, we must amend our state constitution to ensure politicians can never undermine our rights in the future.
